Barber Dimes are the smallest of the three late 19th Century coins attributed to Charles E. Barber who was then the Chief Engraver of the Mint. The Barber Dime Series boasts the greatest rarity of Barber's three designs in the 1894-S, which has a total mintage of only 24 pieces. Other than this celebrated rarity, the series is the easiest 19th century set to complete.
